Croc full of chili going. It smells good in here! I love making chili. This is the first time I did

my own beans instead of using canned chili beans. I just guessed on compensating for the loss of the chili sauce the beans are packed in. I just threw in a can of tomato sauce and a little extra chili powder. Taste test seems to be the same as I'm used to with this recipe.

chicken noodle and chili. I made a great batch of ham and navy bean. Split pea and ham is up next. Then I'll try tomato. Probably a vegetable coming soon too.

I've been on a diet for some time. Counting calories and nutrition alerted me to how worthless some of the canned crap is. Homemade is so much better and a actually makes a light meal that holds you for awhile.

Allow me to recommend butter beans with a bit of bacon, and some ketchup and molasses. Ham will do as well as bacon for this. Not so much a soup as a bowl of beans in the sauce.

Good plan, Stan. I'm doing a Hatch chili. If you don't know what those are you should look them up. Wonderful flavor and you can actually get them in a can now. As well as Hatch enchilada sauce. But I digress. Brown up some chopped pork sirloin, or similar, with onions and garlic. Add tomatoes, chilies, spices, your favorite broth, and chopped up potatoes. Crock pot for a few hours. Mmmm, smells so good and will feed 2 for several days.

Good luck tomorrow, y'all. Stay safe.
