and copious wine (I think he just put in some dry rosé) to toast the speech at 8 pm.

Thinly sliced prosciutto di Parma, fresh mozzarella cheese, pickled celery, various olives, roasted red peppers and slices of cucumbers topped with dried dill.

Linguini al dente with tomato, basil and garlic sauce topped with freshly grated Romano cheese.

Thin slices of scungilli (conch) stewed in a spicy Fra Diavlo sauce.
Steamed broccoli.
Dolci
Freshly baked carrot cake with cream cheese icing. Espresso and Sambuca.

Tonight? Just Sierra Nevada Torpedo Extra IPA! I'm gonna stay at home a get blitzed in celebration!! It's been a long hard slog, and it's not even over yet...

(10,423 posts)started it in my slow-cooker this morning, I'm gonna add some shrimp also. I made a small skillet of jalapeno cornbread too.
I'm decanting a 1994 Paradigm Cabernet for speech-watching. I bought 3 bottles of that several years ago, and will have one left.
I might also eat one of my "Colorado chocolates" and have some chocolate cheesecake ice cream later
The only mar on this day is that I couldn't invite over the people I normally would have to really appreciate firing the MFer.
we're all celebrating! Long hard road ahead but thank God no more Trump and the crazies I hope!
