Watermelons

Bumper crop this year. I have Scaley Bark, Ali Baba, and some Crimson Sweets that re-seeded from last year. The Scaley's are all at least 30 pounds. If one lasts me 3 days, you know its huge! All are luscious.

I gave this wagon full to the guy that cuts my grass to set up his own roadside stand.

Watermelon is my favorite summertime fruit; can't get enough of that stuff! Looks like a bumper crop, congratulations!

We had watermelon with virtually every meal during the two weeks we were there. Watermelon stands lined the roads everywhere we went, and I have never, before or since, eaten watermelon as sweet as those we found in China.

And lots of composted horse manure and wood shavings.

The cantaloupes I grow in this same field were the best ever too. Not very big, but incredibly sweet. I think they were Hale's.
