Anyway, they're a nonprofit group also seeking to outlaw FORprofit high-kill shelters, and there's a petition about it on the WH website:

Please, if you haven't already, go there and at least sign the petition. They only have 3 more days left.

Then please send them whatever funds you can. They send dog food to qualified needy families so dogs don't have to be given up or worse.

3. I saw a post on Pet Food Stamps before

and I love that idea. We all know that our pets are family, and it would devastate us if we couldn't afford to feed them.

Thanks for the petition. I wasn't even aware that there were "for profit" high-kill shelters. I need to look into that. I am not sure that I can comprehend where the profit comes from, but I am afraid to find out.
