So, Scavey did have roundworms and has been treated. He is still pretty shy about coming out from his favorite hidey-holes, but is doing so more and more. His new favorite spot is on top of the washing machine. It's high and he has a good view down the hallway and can see anyone or any other kitty from a safe distance.
Seems that he is gaining a bit a weight. What a lanky kitty he is. Makes me think of a cougar. Long body, long legs and very angular features.
Yesterday, when I went to pet him, he rolled over and offered me his belly. I gave it a little rub and he purred away.
PROGRESS!!!!!
Sofie still isn't happy. She's just trying to maintain her dominance. Jessie...her thought is.."meh". Whatever. She's just happy to eat whatever he doesn't. What a little piggie.

(18,219 posts)Especially that he offered his belly. My baby, Sammy, never offers his belly, and if I catch him on his back, he has made it clear that it is not an offer.
Sammy was very lean and lank when I first got him. He was about 2 years old and so long and his face was odd looking. It was almost like it was triangular with a long snout. He doesn't look that way anymore. He is still a long cat, but has filled out well and his head looks more like any other cat that you see.
I hope that Sofie will soften, although they never may be great friends. Just make sure that she still gets lots of attention.

He really is a beauty.
Despite the scratches on my hand, he has stopped biting down when he feels threatened. So, no new wounds. My hands really appreciate this. Good thing the vet trimmed his talons.....I mean claws. They were lethal.
