(7,287 posts)she snores so loud she wakes herself up.
Aerows
(39,961 posts)That's hilarious! My cat doesn't snore, she just takes up enough space to displace a small moon when she sleeps, and she only weighs about 12 lbs.!

(7,287 posts)bed and when I have rolled onto the floor, as they lean over the edge of the bed looking down at me with the "wow, what happened" look, I shake myself off, climb back into the covers and all the time grumbling about "sharing folks, it's called sharing not hogging"...but gawd I love them!

(39,961 posts)and he weighed well north of 20 lbs until he passed on at 17. He never took up as much space as this little girl does. Well, except in my heart .

(18,219 posts)that I miss having cable. I always loved to watch dog shows, even if I am not sure that I like dog shows. I just love seeing all the beautiful dogs.

My other dog, Lia, was entered this year, but her coat was looking kinda shabby and it was apparent she wasn't going to win, so we decided to cut our losses and stay at home.

(9,958 posts)The herding group is on tonight, but the Belgians (Tervuren, Malinois, and Groenendael) don't get any love.
They'll probably cut to a commercial while they're on.

(130,865 posts)Just checked:
'Ch. Rock Ridge Night Rocket, a blue Bedlington terrier owned by the William A. Rockefellers, won in 1948. The Bedlington is named after a mining town in northeast England. It is supposedly descended from the dandie dinmont terrier and the otterhound, thus making it a virtually fearless, persevering, retriever of game in or out of water. It comes in blue, liver or sandy colors, with or without darker points. The blue is more of a silver at maturity, although at birth is black. They are high energy dogs and need exercise, work or play, and attention or their behaviour may suffer. Although, with that said, it is one of the, if not the, calmest of all the terrier breeds. The breed has a pear-shaped head with rather slanted eyes that reminds one of a sheep. The haircoat is curly and does not shed as much as other dogs because of the curls. The life span of the breed is between 13 and 14 years, surely not enough for their owners.'
Have to be a Rockefeller for a Bedlington to win!!!

(13,461 posts)I saw a beautiful pair at an agility trial a couple of months ago. Such lovely dogs (and talented).

(13,461 posts)I'm still pretty much an agility beginner, we do NADAC and AKC. We are stuck trying to finish Open Standard in AKC right now (we are in Excellent JWW), Layla's tetter totter fear flared back up
I was our worst enemy at the last trial for sure. I blew two nice JWW runs where Layla was cruising. She is a VERY fast dog, and I'm working to keep up with her in cuing. She has also decided she doesn't want verbals, but she sure wants my feet pointed correctly, LOL. Layla is a border collie mix - heavy on the border collie....She needed a job and loves agility. She starts getting all worked up at the sight of agility equipment.
I have considered Rally, but the only location in town that offers classes always offers them on the most inconvenient night of the week.
You used to have a pic of one of your dogs jumping through an agility tire on your posts, didn't you? I noticed everyone's pet pics before we adopted a dog, I have always wanted one so much. Layla is my first dog as an adult and I'm middle aged.

(18,219 posts)But it isn't the best cat in the universe.
Mine is.
In my opinion.

She is so precious when she rolls up in her pink blanket. The little rat toy seems to be a favorite of hers, too

(18,219 posts)My cat also has a toy that is one of his favorites that is bigger than I would expect a cat to enjoy. Drags it everywhere.
