i am getting him a cart. the breeder made me promise to try to let him do some pulling. i am starting a "microfarm" on a vacant lot, and he is gonna be my micro-ox. think i can hook him up to my push mower, also.
since i expect him to be able to wait patiently for me when i am in a store, he is going to allow me to do a lot more of my shopping on foot. or so i am telling myself.

bundle of sweet, tho.

That's what I always say when people remark on the size of my dog's feet. Akitas have great big feetsies they never seem to grow into.

It always amazes me how fast they get so big. It's great that you're getting all these photos because in the blink of an eye he'll be huge, and you'll start forgetting how small he used to be.

What a great looking little dude! Is this his first experience with snow? Mine just had his first experience with snow that comes out of the sky and blankets everything. He knew snow, but his previous experience was only with the snow mountains that are formed behind the iceskating rink that come out in a big blob from the ice scraping machine. He was just amazed that snow fell out of the sky in little tiny bits and fell all over everything. LOL! And I'm so mad at myself for totally forgetting to take pictures!!!

Damn but is he ever adorable wearing his little winter coat and bounding through the snow! Such a cutie patootie!

And just look at those giant hooves! (when they got feetsies that big I figure they're hooves or flippers or paddles). He's going to be a big handsome musclebound pooch!

he freaked out a little the first time, just trying to figure out why his feet kept sinking into the crazy white ground.
now he likes to kill it. he also like to kill blowing leaves.

This is a smart dog... I hate snow. LOL!

Well, ok, I do like it when the dog is playing in it because dogs are so funny in the snow. Other than that I'd cheerfully never witness another flake of the stuff again nor touch another shovel. I think I might like it lot more if I could figure out how to keep it out of the inside of my pants.

Actually, with the puppy so intent on eating the snow I should really just send him out to clear the sidewalks and steps. That's one way to get rid of it.

We did have great fun clearing off the car last night though, and I usually hate doing that... the abominable snow doggie! LOL!

Dogs are so funny in the show. Does your pup stuff his snout in it clear up to his ears and you can hear him in there hugely sniffing the delectable aroma? Every dog I've ever had did that though I have no idea what they're attempting to do. It's always hilarious when they pull their head out and their whole face is a snowball except for the lolling pink tongue flopping out of their grin. Silly doggies!

Both your dogs are just adorable! Love those faces.

What breed is the puppy? American Bulldog? He's certainly handsome and his big sis is a pretty Boxer herself.

Like everyone else said, he's got himself some FEET!

I have read some about what "show" breeding has done to many very noble breeds of dog, and taking them back to a healthy, happy state is simply wonderful!

her dogs run and jump and play. there is just enough outcrossing to give them some diversity. and the temperament of these dogs is just what bullies should be. happy, outgoing, playful, but at the same time watchful and patient.
doing it right.

much as i would like to see puppy mills put out of business, and a lot of breeders subjected to the kind of things their dogs have gone through, i still think that people who do it all right deserve their reward. this place was just everything you want to see.

I'd have a really hard time deciding. Going just on looks between the two you mentioned I like the one with the white blaze better, but it could be just that she looks especially cute in this photo. I think my favorite of all of them is the tan one that's smothering the first one you mentioned that looks like the mommy. Decisions, decisions... I do like that little girl's looks with the white blaze... cutsie little white toesies.

Maybe since Doc is a boy you should get a girl though so there's less chance of them not getting along when they get older. Even 2 boys from the same litter that grew up together can get into domination fights.

They're all so cute and good looking... really hard to decide which one to choose. Oh, why do we always have to decide and can't just have them all???

Doc is getting so big so fast. Puppies seem to do that though. Sometimes I think you can watch them grow in minutes right before you're eyes. He's so adorable. And I see he did a nice job of killing almost all of your snow. Good doggie! LOL!
