Has anyone used Pet Armour products

for fleas and ticks?

I bought a package at Walgreen's for 19.99 for three doses. I read online that it has the same product that Frontline has and works just as well and waaaay cheaper. Both of my Bostons have been scratching lately and I saw two fleas on Quincy. I bathed them last week. Anyway, I've dosed both dogs. My female is fine...no scratching but my male is still scratching and I just saw another flea! I dosed them two days ago!

I'm getting conflicting info on the net. Anyone used this product? What was your experience?

I don't know about this, but my vet told me that Frontline is no longer effective against many fleas and ticks because they have evolved an immunity to it. My vet actually recommends Revolution now, but said that if I want to still use Frontline that the Plus version is a newer formula that is more effective. I have not used Pet Armor, but I would think that it is the same formula as the Frontline if that is what it says.

I also do not know how quickly any of these products works and if two days it long enough to kill them all, especially if there were any fleas that were not on the animal for that whole two days. I would not worry yet, and there isn't much that you can do right now since you can't use another dose this soon.

I cannot dose again or even give a flea bath for three weeks! I called my vet and they told me I could come in for a pill. Ofcourse, this is a vet visit plus 50.00 for the pill. UGH. Just tried to save money.

I purchased the regular Pet Armour. I know that a few fleas are not gonna kill us, but Bostons generally have sensitive skin issues. I hate to see my baby scratching and uncomfortable.

I use a flea comb on my cats even when they have no flea because they have always seemed to like being groomed with it. I don't know how it would work on a Boston, but they are short haired, so maybe it would work. When I did have a flea problem, I would sit and comb them and have a bowl of soapy water sitting there. If I got a flea in the comb, I would put the comb in the water and it would kill it. Ick, this brings back memories of infestations!

I just feel bad that I took the cheap route without thinking about it. Internet reviews are sketchy on the product. Some swear by the effectiveness others say it doesn't work.

Thank you for your advice.

My dog smells like a lamb chop.

it works though and it repels green head flies witch a lot of other pet sprays do not.

But the dog really does smell like a lamb chop and people comment on it and you have to put a towel on your couch.
First search could not find it

I can't find the bottle, I know I bought a new one but I have not had to use it his year because my dog has no been outside the yard since I have been fighting bronchitis going on the third month- and my neighbors don't have pets and she never got fleas from my yard. I am sure if you look on-line you will find bunches of these bottles available.

for it to work. So, your animal will still itch because of the bite, but the flea should die. Is that not the case with Frontline?
