quick update on (formerly) fat cat

she's holding steady at 7.5 pounds or so after coming in at 6.5 over the spring. she gets crunchy treats and/or soft food when she asks but is getting a bit picky about what flavor of soft food she'll eat. i was able to sneak the hard kidney food into the soft food for a bit, but then she got hip to that and just licked around it, leaving the kibble in the bowl. i haven't taken her back to the vet because everything seems fine in terms of eating, drinking, playing and using the box.

i weigh her once a week or so and will take her back for more tests if her weight starts slipping again, but i don't expect getting labs now will show any change.

i was so upset about how tiny she was after the last vet trip and i am so relieved she's doing well now.

Whatever you are doing seems to be working. I agree that I wouldn't have more tests at this point since she is holding her own. Just keep doing all you can.
