Marcy's new nickname is Wigglebutt!

My housemate called her that this morning. He comes home from work and she greets him at the door with the whole back half of her body waggling.

3. I inadvertantly named my wife's cat.

When we first met my (now) wife had a cat named Tigger. She just called him "my cat" because the name had never really caught on with her. I think it was the name the shelter had given him. He growled at me once and I thought I was in trouble, but I've never met a cat I couldn't win over and after a few weeks his favorite hangout was my lap. She had somewhat mixed feelings about that.

Anyway, we were on the phone one time and I asked her, "How's Fuzzybuns?" She decided that was a wonderful name and called him that until he passed away. I kept apologizing to him, assuring him that I never meant to do such a terrible thing to him, and he seemed to forgive me because his favorite hangout remained my lap.

Endearing as it is descriptive though, isn't it.
