Related: About this forumPrincess Peanut is going to the vet for the last time today
I will miss her so much. She is in pain and does not want to get up from her kitchen bed. I will miss her snores and soft sleep woofs.

(32,969 posts)I was laying on the floor wrapped around her back kissing her muzzle as she slipped to the Rainbow Bridge. A good vet is a joy.

(20,759 posts)That part of herself she gave you, utterly, the complete trust and unconditional love, that stays with you forever.
When the pain of losing her furry *presence* is gently blurred by the passage of time, those will still be there, easier to find, and the gratitude of her sharing will become your connection to the Princess, still and forever. It can't replace her warm furry self, or her purr in your ear, but it will remain in your heart.
This is the gift of our other-than-human dear ones.
warmly,
Bright
