... but they need a place.
Had rescue 3 GSD pups brought out Saturday for a temporary stay. They will be here for 2 weeks. At 5 weeks, a little younger than really should be away from mom, but the alternative just couldn't happen. Beyond adorable, I have high hopes we will find deserving families for each of them. So far we're calling the black male Bear ('cuz he looks like a bear cub) and one of the girls, Bella. Both females have some tan markings. I'll try to post some pics when I get the opportunity.

(14,524 posts)We're aren't formally "members" of any one rescue, but have friends in several breed specific ones, German Shepherds in particular. Our oldest GSD, Nakita came to us at age 8 about 3 years ago, from Wisconsin GS Rescue. These pups needed an emergency home right now so we made room for them.

As if 2 cats, one Golden and 27 baby chicks were not enough to keep me busy....lol.

(14,524 posts)... these awesome pups will be wonderful dogs. I suspect Bear is going to be a very big boy and they are all clearly smart and curious. Sure hope to find some nice folks like yourself for them to steal the hearts of.

This is the yet to be named female. (her sister is identical to her, but is wearing a collar so we can tell them apart.)

(60,010 posts)which is why I don't do rescue work with animals. I would want to keep them all.

(14,524 posts)... an 11 year old black GSD female, an 8 month old white GSD, 3 Frenchie/Boston crosses and two parrots, so unfortunately keeping even one just isn't an option. We'll find them good homes.

(11,065 posts)Once they're in my house my heart says they're mine. I could never be a breeder for the same reason. I'd end up the neighborhood kooky dog lady. But I'll probably end up the neighborhood kooky dog lady regardless. I think I'm part way there already... I keep finding myself having long interesting conversations with the neighbors' dogs but not the neighbors. LOL!
