London Royal Docks office cat rescued after plunge into Thames

By Ben Hooper | May 1, 2017 at 3:32 PM

May 1 (UPI) -- An anonymous worker at London's Royal Docks is being hailed as a hero after he was caught on camera rescuing a cat that fell into the water.

The Royal Docks released footage showing the Royal Docks Management Authority's office cat, Felix, falling into the River Thames while fleeing from a second feline.

An unidentified worker who witnessed the feline's plunge into the drink springs into action and brings Felix back up to dry land.

"There was a time when the waters of the Royal Docks were so filthy, an unexpected plunge would result in a period of quarantine. But as if to prove just how well the waters are maintained by the staff of the Royal Docks Management Authority, Felix the RoDMA cat ended up in the drink while bravely engaging in a hostile territorial battle (i.e., running away) from another cat," the Royal Docks said in a statement.

He meant to do that... and what a great guy to rescue him so fast. In fact, I wonder if this happens often, he )man) was so casual after the fact.
