(11,794 posts)When I talked my wife into a, dog, she said we had to adopt. No puppy mill. Was looking for a rat terrier on petfinder. Wanted nothing to do with a jack Russell. Saw his picture, ad said he loved to play with the kitty's ( had a,diabetic one at the time we were worried for), and his name was Zeppelin. As a rock n roll singer, I thought, "this is a sign from the gods!" Unfortunately, the sign was, "STAY AWAY! " and I misread it. LOL! But I wouldn't give him up for the world.

(3,266 posts)annoying little shit - wouldnt have changed him fir the world. Super smart, independent and strong-willed, funny, loyal and loving. He was an apricot poodle and I named him Floyd Because Hes Pink. Miss that little guy more than words can say.

(14,489 posts)I used to giggle at my dogs, seeing what they do while dreaming - jerk their legs and snarl, and I remember one waking up in a start, just like I have. Showed me that they have dream visions in their sleep just like us.
Looks like your best friend!.......

(37,648 posts)I don't know how to post a pic from my computer, or I'd show you. Mine's a rescue. I think she's a Jack Russell/hound or lab mix. Occasionally I see other dogs that look like her. No one ever knows the breed! One even stopped me to ask me if I knew, because his dog looked just like mine.
Mine is white, enormous Yoda-like ears with big tan spots, large round hazel eyes (like a Viszla), brown nose, freckles, short legs, very deep chest, looooong neck, and big head, with a wasp waist. She has paws like a rabbit, not rounded like most dogs. She's very visual.
Anyway, looks like yur dog, to the extent I can tell what yours looks like.

(37,648 posts)I don't think this worked quite right, but the photos show, at least.

(11,794 posts)She does look like the mighty Zeppelin! I thought that first pic was one of mine at first glance!
As far as the post goes, I did the same thing my first time. Next time try direct link instead of link.

(37,648 posts)Thanks! I tried the different links until one worked.
I think it's the Jack Russell part that makes yours look like mine. She looks like a big Jack Russell (the more common variety), but has hound or lab or bull terrier in her...not sure. But there are a number of dogs who look just like this.
Big round intelligent eyes, very visual, she has howled on occasion, rough waterproof coat on her back. Big tan spots on her giant ears, and freckles around her nose. She's very smart & very energetic. I bet yours is, too.
You can't tell from the photos, but she has a very deep chest that goes up to a wasp-like waist. But she's all scrunched up in the photo.

(11,794 posts)I'm guessing bull terrier by her short legs. What a cutie.
Heres my favorite pic..... That look!

(37,648 posts)As if to say, "Aren't I gorgeous?" or "How 'bout this angle?"
I can see that your dog is smaller & more delicate. I can see the Italian Greyhound. But the coloring is identical to my dog's. Even down to the eyeliner!
I thought about part bull terrier for mine, but she's not as heavy & broad as that, her paws are like a rabbit's (this is rare, and notably occurs in the Hound category) instead of roundish like most dogs, and of course bull terriers have squinty black eyes, while Rosie has large round lt. brown eyes (like a Viszla's). Could be that she's just a Heinz 57...but only thing is, there is a group of dogs that looks just like her. Spittin images of each other.
I could do that DNA thing for dogs, but I don't really care that much. If that would even be correct. It doesn't really matter.
Anyway, your dog is a cutie!
