11. When I was little I was not allowed to sleep with dogs.

Now that I am old I have remedied that situation with one dog and two cats.

6. I put my dog's bed on the floor after she tore

the cruciate ligaments in both her hind knees. They were repaired by a great surgeon but it was the best move for her. My little dog that I have now had a hard time jumping up onto my bed so I got her a doggie set of steps and it works great. I like it too (she is warm and soft and wonderful to sleep with).

14. The things we do for our dogs.

I have an old dog too and she has a Martha Stewart bed. I will rarely spend money on myself but I didn't blink an eye on the cost of the dog bed. It is so darned hard watching them get old. I keep telling her, "We're both getting old together."

This year he’s our old man-dog. He’s happy tho. Likes a walk up hill everyday with his dad.

She's almost 16 so I'm not quite that far along, but we share some of the same ailments. We both have trouble getting out of bed in the morning. Her muscles are weak and her legs give out on her and so do mine once in awhile. LOL

My wife and I put our king sized mattress on the floor because our old guy can't jump up anymore either.
