Police Cat Becomes Worldwide Social Media Sensation

Meet “Pawficer Donut,” who was one of the police cat candidates brought by Michigan Humane Society and won over the Troy Police Department after a Twitter challenge back in March.

“If we get 10,000 followers by April, we want a police cat,” wrote the department. After the tweet was put out, Troy’s Police reached their goal and got a kitten.

Pawficer Donut is now engaging with the community through Facebook and Twitter, and helping to ensure residents are aware of important messages and police information.

The cat was even spotlighted on The Daily Show, which gained the Troy Police Department even more Twitter followers.

but a better advertisement for the police would probably be shooting fewer people, and being less corrupt.

3. There is a lot good about this story but kittens really should have another kitten around to play

with. If they can't have two that get lots of time together, they should adopt an adult rescue cat who has the temperament for the activity of a police station.
