Finally, a photo I can be proud of....

I try so hard to get a good picture of my cat, Sammy. Usually, I end up with a blurry picture of his coming toward me or rolling around...and the photos are nothing to make me proud to post. I never professed to be much of a photographer, so to have a portrait come out is something to cheer about! The other day, I got a beauty and I have to share it.

Just a proud mommy here!!!!

thanks for the kudos. This photo was enough to show me something I had never noticed before----one black whisker. And danged if it isn't there if I look close.

Did you know that ornjbois are the REAL superior beings of this spacetime universe?

Well, THEY know.

assuredly,

this guy is so special that he isn't even aware of how superior he is. Or at least he doesn't let on.

Right now, he is playing with a toy and looking anything but dignified! He is so cute.

I can't count how many photos I've taken of my dog's fuzzy bum or the insides of his nostrils! It's SO hard to get a decent photo of him or where I can get him to slow down enough so most of him is in the photo at all... I've have a lot of photos of the back foot or his tail in the edge of the photo. The insides of his nostrils are very attractive though... LOL!

That's an awesome photo of your kitty! You should blow it up and frame it.

I know all about the nostril problem---Sammy always wants to come to me when I squat to take a picture, so I get lots of those "too close" photos myself!

I think you snapped a great profile of your handsome kitty. I know how difficult it is to get a good pix of kitties-either they have their eyes closed, or I end up taking a picture of part of my thumb. I'm not a great photographer as I've taken more partial pix of my thumb than I care to admit.

but you should see all the pictures where I get a blur, or worse yet, I get to see how dirty my siding on the house is or the floor needs scrubbed when I get a photo. Not something to be proud of!

I have trouble taking pictures of our mostly black dog, especially inside, she blends into the background too easily.

This is my first orange and it was his personality, not the color, that attracted me to him. But I have learned to appreciate the orange kitteh.

He is so sweet and friendly and usually not nearly as dignified as he looks in this photo.

As to your black dog indoors, if you noticed, this one was outside and in shade. I have lots of indoor pictures that just don't pop. My lesson learned is to work in nice outdoor light, even if he is an indoor cat.
