Need help immediately placing several large dogs for foster or rescue

Last edited Fri May 17, 2019, 11:31 PM - Edit history (1)

My daughter is in the midst of leaving a bad marriage and needs to place 5 - 8 lab and lab mix and several cats. I do not have full info at this time, but will answer any messages as soon as possible.

Her steps to find homes for these pets has become more urgent. She is staying with a friend in another state and is not able to are for these pets. She has come back for a temporary hearing today and her ex. was arrested today on another matter.

If you can or are interested in helping, please im me at your earliest convenience.
Sorry to be sketchy, but I will be able to answer any messages with more complete info. Her parents (us) are unable to help much due to double disabilities and lack of transportation (our transmission is totally kaput ).

UPDATE: as of today (Friday) the urgency of this situation has passed. Abby's ex (bonded out of jail) has gotten one of his daughters (not Abby's) to help out. She lives in Hope Ar. and some of the dogs have presumably gone there.

Thanks for your concern, support, and assistance.

rescue groups in your area. Send to all friends/family on social media and ask them to share. Get copies of current vet records to have on hand.

Every state, and often times every single county in the state, has Rehoming groups for dogs and cats. Run a search for all FB groups with your county name and key words for rescue or adoption.

If you post on any of those groups, succinctly provide the key information and as good quality photos as possible. Rather than lump all the animals together in one post, it will work better to present them in smaller groups by breed or even individually for the large dogs. People tend to gravitate toward one specific dog and gloss over a group.

Be sure to mention the general location of where the dogs are and how to contact you for more details or to arrange for care. List breed, sex, age, general temperament and whether or not they're up to date on shots. If they're aren't up-to-date, people MUST know that.

Arkansas had no groups listed.
But contact a nearby state for help. Or pm me.

Good luck & keep us posted.
