4. we got a cat from a couple about to have a baby. the first night, he

cuddled up to my daughter's back. She has painful scoliosis, and somehow he knew. Later on, he would play a game with her to make her laugh. Best cat in the world. This one comes in a veryclose second. Much joy to both of them.

8. Our daughter and son-in-law had a cat find them at their house.

She hung around for a bit, and they brought her to the vet. She had bite marks in four places and the bites were infected. She also had ear mites. She wasn't microchipped, but obviously was not feral.

Now they are a family of five - the two of them, their two dogs, and Cheddar, the orange cat.
