Related: About this forumLast day for my little girl...
Today was the last day for one of my rescue kittens.
We were her 4th home. Being Thanksgiving and 2020 and all the COVID19 lockdown crudola, just made it worse.
From being scared to come out of the carrier to being full on protective of her 'Big Guy' in 6 days, just won me over.
Here is my little sassy girl earlier in this summer.
This and the time change and suppose to be 'happy' during Thanksgiving for the family today just exacerbates my Seasonal Affective Disorder.
Having to dig her grave by myself. Then me having to curl her up like she normally did to nap at the bottom of her grave. Then seeing the dirt fall on her fur.
Oh, God..
That was the worse part.
Sleep well my little girl until we meet again.

catastrophic stroke. Poor sweet baby. I will miss her so much. I have 3 other cats, but I keep looking for her, too.

Got her as a tiny kitten from an animal shelter in Maine. She grew up to be a lovely fluffy Maine Coon Cat mix, the dearest cat we've ever had. Rooney followed me up and down the sidewalk when I took the babies out in the stroller.
Seeing the pictures of your beloved furbaby brought back such lovely memories of Rooney.
Hugs to you in your loss.
