I officially adopted my foster cat Bodhi on Monday. And she was spayed too.

This is the original post about her from April. https://democraticunderground.com/116153596

She was 10 months old and very afraid. Over the months she got used to me and now regularly comes over and sits and loves on me. I also find her sleeping on the bed, (now with the new little kitten foster/she is a great foster mom too)

I had to take her in on Monday to get spayed and do the adoption papers and I completely did not prepare for it well enough. I have learned that if you go toward her too quickly she will run which is what I did and then what she did. I grabbed her tail to try and stop her and she whisked around and gave me several slices with her claws and then ran. At that point she was under the bed and I knew I couldn't get her.

So I called them and went down and they gave me a cat catcher but shortly after I got home the animal services van pulled in and 2 people came in and caught her. I felt so bad for her but all was OK in the end and she is now spayed and legally my cat. She is still not feeling great and hiding but she slept next to me last night.

Here is another picture of her. I think she is the best.

With one of our cats, I had to close the doors to all the rooms before even bringing the cat carrier up from the basement. He was very good at hiding, and would do so if he saw the carrier.

One time, he managed to find a very good place that wasn’t usually available. We were having our main bathroom remodeled, and he managed to get between the floor joists where the big walk-in shower had been taken out. If my arm had been one inch shorter, i would not have been able to reach him.

gain their trust. My youngest was a feral kitten and quite a spitfire at first. Never heard such screeching and spitting noises before. Luckily my older boy kitty loved her from day one and helped us tame her. Now her fav thing to do is watch videos on her own tablet.

Bodhi is gorgeous! What beautiful cream color fur; I love her little pink toe beans!!
