Morgan is doing MUCH better. She ate some baby food and now she's playing with Madoc

She's been kind of quiet - especially yesterday but I chalked that up to the vet visit for a rabies shot and another deworming treatment.

She's nibbled on dry and wet kitten food but it's been suggested to try the stage 1 meat baby food. It must be helping because her energy level is definitely improved.

Me? I need a nap.

Vet recommends for sick cats so they’ll eat something.
I found this out 34 years ago trying to feed it to my infant daughter, who absolutely refused to eat it but my cat made himself obnoxious pestering me for some.

Madoc is still a crazy kitty. He's now LEAPING over about a 4 foot barricade so I've raised it another 6 inches. Of course, now that Sophie Stinky Toes is observing them from the fireplace mantel, I'm thinking any worries about her lashing out might have been unnecessary. The worse she's done is a clawless swat and soft growl. These kittens don't need telling twice. They are now curious from a distance. Unless, of course Sophie's tail is within reach.

A few more checks to make sure I've boxed up any precious breakables, and the kittens may just get the run of MOST of the house.

Will often be slowed down for a day or so after shots of most kinds. Even deworming. If they aren't eating anything from outdoors, after this, they probably don't need the worm treatment much, it does things to their innerds.

I'm glad they are getting good care, so many strays aren't so lucky and the kitties rarely tell you they are thankful.

They get all of the food, water, shelter and love they can handle. And they give some much joy and cause so much laughter, in return.

Sophie was about 6 months old when I took her in. Having kittens as young as these two were (4 weeks) is a WHOLE different experience and there's a special sort of bonding.

Nothing makes me happier than when all 3 curl up on my lap. It doesn't happen often, but I hope it starts to.

Tells me that she has already accepted them and sees that the relationship will be on her terms and she's good with that. I think they will all get along.
