Sophie is a pretty smart cat

She can't clear the height of the barricade at the den doorway, anymore, so she just taps it with her paw to let me know she's there and I lift her over. Her new favorite spot is on the mantel, by the window. MUCH preferable to when she was spending her days in the laundry tub. The kittens can't quite reach her, yet, so if she wants to interact she hops down. When she's had enough, she goes back up. Now, if she'd just let me sleep, at night, she'd be a nearly perfect feline.

My sisters' cat wake her up every morning around 2am wanting attention, and I had a cat that did that when I was a child. It's not a problem now since I lock the kitties in the front part of the house, they don't get into early morning hissoffs/fights on the bed. Hubs couldn't stand it and was getting very sleep deprived so we resolved the situation. Cats aren't happy about it, but J is still working part time and the lack of sleep was causing problems.

My kitty occasionally decides she wants to be under the covers while I'm sleeping, so she very delicately brushes my cheek with her whiskers.

They sure are amazing creatures!

And Madoc is growing like crazy so I suspect he doesn't look so 'strange' to her, anymore. It's funny - he was the 2nd smallest and now he's bigger than Morgan, who was the biggest when I brought them in.

If Bruiser is his dad, I'm going to be buying a whole lot of cat food, in the future, because Bruiser is HUGE.
