He chased it, carried it around, and put in his cardboard box fort for later

One of our cats once ate a very long piece of fabric covered elastic that was part of a cat toy, and had to have emergency surgery. It got wrapped around the base of his tongue and was coming out the other end of him.

But I know it can be a hazard. I once had a cat who found some thread with a needle threaded through it. She started eating the thread and was right up to the needle going into her mouth when I caught it managed to yank it out, scary.

I smiled envisioning yoru kitty carrying off the treasure for later use.

After a frenzied session he curled up next to me, put his head on my arm, and fell back to sleep. As did I. When I woke up at about 6, he was still snoozing. All I had to say is 'Are you hungry?' and he jumped up and ran to the kitchen. I fed him and went back to bed.

He's being a nice, playful and napping kitten, today. Which is to say he has yet to attack my toes.
