Related: About this forumMy sweet little guys are particularly RAMBUNCTIOUS this morning. I mean like YIKES!!
I'm wondering if the approaching weather - snow - possibly 3" - is triggering their super-mega zoomie behavior.
Fortunately, they were super snuggly, this morning.

One of my kits many years ago used to growl at the snow falling. She was an indoor kit, had never been in the snow.

(5,125 posts)Our 21 year old cat is constantly looking for a lap to snuggle on in colder weather.
She is overjoyed that I am home, usually have to work.
Hubby is able to telecommute and she has his lap most days.

(26,250 posts)I think Gryff is still celebrating the departure of the dinner guests. He has been a lot of fun to watch, today. He was on my lap for the longest time, giving me head rubs, snuggles and kisses.

(5,125 posts)A successful dinner with friends and/or family puts us in a good mood.
Good for the little ones too.
My angry son and his wife are on a little get away and the yelling finally stopped. His kids go into a different mode when it's GMa and GPa. Sometimes happy silly. Not pets, but young ones feed off the feelings adults put out there and pets are just furry children with more legs.

(26,250 posts)Considering his early days as part of an abandoned litter, he's really progressing. I have watched him transform from a scared kitten who did a whole lot of hiding to one that now loves to play and get/give snuggles. For the longest time, Madoc was the pursuer and instigator of wrestling matches. Now it's about 50/50. And the same with grooming. Now it's a 2 way street.
He's still very quiet, giving me just an occasional little trill but then Madoc is also pretty scarce with his vocalizations, unless it's meal time. They he's pretty chatty.
All in all, they are both just pure bundles of joy.

(5,125 posts)It took awhile.
But when they would come downstairs and be quietly watching TV, the cat would crawl into their lap.
One grandson was napping here and woke up with Miss Tiny on his chest, cuddling and purring.
We call it "being in Kitty Prison" because you just don't want to "escape" from it.
The kids will say, "LOOK GMa, I'm in Kitty Prison!!" with the biggest smile on their faces.
I told them initially, "Cats are going to be afraid of little people because they move around so fast. You think you are "small" but you are still big enough to accidentally step on her and break something. She will trust you more when you are calm and still for awhile."

(26,250 posts)I done my one errand, for the day, and swapped out the lawn mower for the snow blower. Hopefully I won't need it.
Now I'm going to dig into my left over turkey tetrazzini, sip on a little wine and spend the rest of the weekend puttering, watching movies and playing with the kittens. Hopefully NOT having to remove any snow.
