I lost my dog's Bamboo Combat Extreme Flying Cow toy

For 7 years he's chased his flying cow frisbee through lakes and sea. For the last 3 years, he and his lil' bro have chased it together and returned together, swimming shoulder to shoulder, each holding and tugging on their frisbee.

Several weeks ago at the nearby lake, somebody tried to steal their cow frisbee right in front of us.

And then last Sunday, the unthinkable happened. Usually I drop it through the car window before opening the door when we leave. Sometimes, Jake carries it to the car and drops it along the way. This time, either I didn't see him drop it, or I put it on the roof of the car instead of dropping it through the window.

Monday morning, we got to the lake and I discovered our frisbee was missing. I spent hours last night trying to find one online, but they discontinued them several years ago.

I was going to get a camera soon to get a picture of them bringing the frisbee back together. Now, it will just be a regular floating frisbee instead of their cow frisbee.

I know they'll be happy to have bright green frisbee instead of a cowpatch frisbee with red rim. But somehow, it just won't be the same for me....

All I could find was the 6" flying calf, which is too small for the boys to bring in together. Everything I saw said the cow was discontinued, even in a couple overseas sites I found.

Today's bright green frisbee, while better than nothing, was just not up to the cow. It turned out it is really hard to see because it floats so low in the water. The 2nd time Jake was bringing it in, he lost his hold on it -- the first time he's ever lost hold of a toy -- and it disappeared. I thought it had already sunk when it bobbed back up about 10' behind him. Luckily he's learned to go where I point to if he loses sight (which has happened occasionally when he's in the trough of extra big waves). Then Luna tried to bring it in with Jake, but it was too small. So Luna got depressed and wouldn't try any more (he's much slower than Jake on water so rarely gets there first unless I give him a big head start).

I can't believe I'm going to end up importing their flying cow, but some things are just too important to let go of.... The flying cow is a tradition in my little furfamily!

Was anyone able to find another Bamboo Combat Extreme Flying Cow Toy? I'm currently looking for one for my dog, whose frisbee is not in a good shape If not, did you find any decent alternatives for a soft durable frisbee?
