Othello's obsession..
Anyone else's cat do this?
Every week I pack my meds in my pillbox for the week. Othello comes over before I even open the first bottle to sniff the pills in every bottle. He gets so excited. When I hold a bottle to get them out. As soon as I open it he pulls the bottle towards himself using the dewclaw on my hand to make sure I move it to him.. As I hold it tight he crams his little nose in as far as he can and you can hear him breathing inside the bottle. If I try to move it away before he is done smelling it he will hold the edge of the bottle in his teeth so I can't pull it away without spilling the pills. So I wait until he lets the bottle go... He has certain meds he loves the scent of and others he likes the smell of less but regardless he's gotta sniff them all. Does not matter where I pack my meds he always finds a way to come over and sniff my meds. He's done it for three years now. I consider it part of my pill packing ritual now. He insists. He never tries to lick or eat the pills, thankfully. Once the pill is out of the bottle he's not interested in it. He apparently just really likes how my meds smell inside the bottle. He is such a weird cat sometimes. I go through this every week.

4. I could never film him because if there is a camera around he is having nothing of it.
However it is soo cute when he does this.Makes me look forward to packing my meds.

2. This is why we have guest bathrooms... I often have to shut myself in and them out so I can do
something I know will be impossible if they're around!!!

7. I feel that way too.
If he liked human food he'd be my poison taster..

8. That's a unique one..
My mom gave my aunt one of a litter of mixed Siamese that ended up craving raw cubed (only) potato’s. I thought that was odd. Your kitty tops that.

9. My Stanley only likes the smell of vitamins. I have to keep those locked away, I fear he could
nibble on them.

10. My husband has
an ink pen that he fills with ink. If our cat is around when he is using the pen, she wants to smell the ink as he is trying to write. Don’t know what it is about the smell of the ink she likes. Very odd.
