Related: About this forumGryff has become VERY curious about the kittens
I leave the bedroom door open when I'm with them, and they are out of the playpen. Gryff sits in the hallway, observing everything. If I bring a kitten out, he will walk towards it but then make a huffing noise and run back. Then he returns to his observation spot.
Madoc? He's got them on total ignore, right now.
And the kittens aren't shy about heading out that open door, so I'm always on high alert so that they don't escape.
Socializing kittens to humans is easy. Socializing kitcats to kittens, not so much. I'm just going to be persistent.

(26,173 posts)I know my neighbor has tried trapping and wasn't very successful. That kind of concerns me - maybe they are now wary of traps. I'm also worried about trapping one of those huge raccoons or a skunk, but maybe if I just have the trap set during the day, I can avoid that problem.
We put one out in the garden, for them to get used to seeing it. Then we'll bait it.

(14,615 posts)The little kitten is fearless and he just won't leave my big guy alone. The 3 year old is trying to be patient with the kitten, but the little guy is relentless. I have to pull the little kitten off the 3 year old every couple of minutes.
Part of the problem is the way they want to play. The 3 year old wants the baby to chase him around the house. The baby wants to wrestle with the big guy and bite him on the butt. So far the tiny little kitten is winning!
