Well, the vet opened at 8. It's 8:17 and I'm already home with the kittens

It's nice to live so close to the office. I always get there before they open so I can be one of the first. Today they opened the doors early and I WAS the first.

The kittens are doing great. I think Dr. Schwartz was a pleasantly surprised. When he saw them 2 weeks ago he thought they were younger than they actually are. That tells me they might not have been getting enough nourishment from Spooky. And, those eye infections? All gone. They are at a good weight, too. They got the first deworming medication and I bring them back in 2 weeks for another deworming and to begin vaccinations.

And he agreed that they should stay with me until they are at LEAST two months old. That made me smile.

That's wonderful that the vet gave all of the kittens a clean bill of health. TexasTowelie May 2022 #1

Four lives saved as the kittens will be provided homes where they will be safe and loved. From your posts it looks like Madoc and Gryff are cool with the situation too.

When I brought Madoc and his siblings into the main part of the house, I kept them in the den. I'll do that with these, too. Bring the playpen down but still put them in the bedroom to eat (Madoc is a notorious food stealer) and at night. I can also put them in the bedroom if I'm going to be out of the house for an extended period of time. At least until I'm confident the big boys have accepted them. I think when it's just Arthur, things will be much easier.
