Maybee. Frisbee. All day every day.

She’s so much fun. It’s been really hot here so we’re not hiking as much. We play frisbee in the morning and then a little bit a couple hours later and then again after dinner. This morning we took a run before the sun was up but the bears are out now so we have to be mindful of that. By the time I take her to work with me she’s at least somewhat calm. I love her to bits.

No bear worries hear, so to you, please be careful.

Beautiful dog and looks like a great companion.

Headed to Bozeman next Tues for the farmers market (great market), stop at Costco and enjoy the college atmosphere of downtown Bozeman.

Thinking of going thru Virginia City, Twin Bridges and over to Dillon. A couple of really beautiful RV parks there that we haven't seen. Love to find new places. Love Montana, except for the humpers.

Keep us posted, it's always good to hear from you.

Ennius has plenty of bears so keep your eyes open! I would expect Ennis to be a bit cooler that we are here in Missoula maybe just because of your elevation. Regardless, enjoy it. I love Ennis. It’s beautiful.

Bozeman is so big now. They don’t call it BozAngeles for nothing.

We had a big bear come through the yard night before last. He bent all my bird feeder poles in half and chewed up all my feeders. No more feeding birds until after the bears have gone to bed for the winter. A fed bear is a dead bear and I love having them around…as long as they keep a little distance.

Safe and happy travels to you and yours. Between you and me…I don’t have any use for the humpers either.

We lived in SLC, UT and since '74 have probably spent 1-2 years of our lives in MT, 2-30 days at a time.

Started in Ennis floating the Madison, explored Yellowstone (have probably spent 75-100 days in West Yellowstone) 2 years ago went to western Montana past Libby, and on that trip we were in MT for at least 75 days.

I was also in a NG unit that had a company in Helena. We spent 10 days teaching the encryption techniques on SF communications. Learned to love Montana then, still do today.

You think Bozemans big now, you should see Salt Lake City. I now hate going there, but have relatives and doctors there so have to at least once a year. Bozeman is a oasis in a humper state.

run their legs off. They’re just so full of it! I’ve always had BC’s and when beloved Tag died a year ago, I said I wouldn’t sign up for another BC…but, like you, I’m a sucker so here I am again.

when it was possible to give him the exercise that he needed. He was such a super great dog that no others compare for me.

When he was just a puppy, we took him on a picnic with another couple who had a lab puppy. The lab jumped into the creek next to our picnic and our BC, Laddie, jumped in after him. From that time on, Laddie loved swimming and water in general. At home, he used to turn on the water in our bathtub to splash in it.

We lived in the city and had a fenced in yard, but took him out to the countryside so he could run freely in the open.

There is so much more that I could say about him, but I have already described some of his amazing behavior on other threads, so I'll just sum it up. He was remarkably intelligent and attuned to his surroundings, understood a huge vocabulary, had a natural herding instinct without training, acted on his own judgment once (without a command) to save a toddler's life, was protective, and was just generally a delight to have around.

He even had good hunting instincts and my husband was a hunter. He wanted to take Laddie with him but I refused. Laddie's coat was shaded sable and white (like a smaller, shorter haired version of Lassie) and could be mistaken for a fox in the woods. I would not take the risk that another hunter might take a shot at him.

I know I would never the energy to keep up with a border collie myself (cats are more my speed, lol), but I sure enjoy hearing about her and seeing her pics. She looks like she's just so full of life!
