Mr. Cat's friend, the opossum, is hanging out with him quite a bit lately.

I suppose it's just for the leftover cat food - they aren't actually cuddling up together - but it's interesting that they don't seem to be bothered at all by each other. Mr. C. just relaxes in his chair while the opossum eats the leftovers, and the opossum obviously isn't afraid of him. I'd like to get a good photo but the opossum scoots under Mr. C's chair when I open the door. He/she is stinkin' cute - washed his/her paws like a cat after eating. I suppose I should think of a name if he/she is going to be a regular on my porch.

We named one of the regulars "Gary" after Spongebob's pet snail that meowed.

They'd be on the deck, right outside the living room window, so I got a good look at them.

I haven't used the back yard Blink motion detecting camera because the ferals would constantly set it off, all night long so I'm not sure if they are still visiting.

on the front porch, on the wide ledge. There was a large tree by the corner of the porch, where various wildlife would hang out. When my guy was done eating, he would stroll to the corner, as one of the raccoons would come down for the leftovers. They would pass each other, fur brushing. My guy would jump off the porch, and the raccoon, ignoring me, would finish the food. I would not say that the raccoons were spoiled, but they were completely unimpressed by my presence, to the ooint that the teen raccoons basically gave me the finger once when I told them to get out of the garage.

In the wee hours they would come in through the cat door and eat cat food and go through the trash if they could get in it.

They were friendly and nosed each other. It took me a while to catch on to what was going on. Cat door privileges were revoked.

I think the skunk was immature at that time and after a month or so I never saw it again and never named it.
