yeah, they're fair game, coming onto your property? No, they shouldn't be shot, call 911, warn them they're trespassing and tell them that police have been called.

he committed a felony by breaking and entering. I think he ended up dead because he did not lay down on the floor spread eagled with his hands on his head when he was caught inside the home. If he would have given up instead of fighting, he would likely still be alive.
