Question about blue state/red state trends in gun laws.

There have been any number of changes in firearms laws in recent months. Does anyone know how those trends have played out in terms of states political leanings? In other words, one would expect blue states to strengthen or expand firearms regulations, and red states to reduce or eliminate them. What is the crossover rate? How many blue states are loosening firearms laws, and how many red states are tightening them? Are the changes in each state major or minor? Are the changes in each state a major or minor departure from the norm?

Good stuff. May need some research, esp. As to what constitutes red or blue. Eleanors38 Sep 2013 #1

has been mentioned as a state where it is possible for more strict gun laws to be passed. Democrats control both houses of the legislature and the governor's seat. I still don't see more gun laws passing. Some sort of UBC has an outside shot, but still unlikely in my opinion.
