Why didn't Bloomberg think of that?

given that he likes soda as much as guns. If I understand this correctly, the state of South Australia is looking to make carrying a firearm and a bottle of soda illegal. That is even more bat shit crazy than UK's knife regulations. Why don't they adopt the more rational silencer regulations of New Zealand?

I'm increasingly convinced that bureaucrats are just interested in job security, so they make sure they never run out of laws to prosecute, to reconsider, or to create out of thin air.

According to the ATF, a shoelace can be a machine gun.

And that's not even my favorite one. There was one asking about metal pot scrubbers, and the letter could be interpenetrated as saying that somebody who legally owns a silencer should not have a stockpile of pot scrubbers, since the pot scrubbers could be used to illegally repair or modify the silencer.
