White House to honor Texas gun control advocate

The White House will honor John Woods, a University of Texas at Austin Ph.D. graduate, and eight others on Thursday as “Champions for Change” in reducing gun violence in their communities.

John Woods was an undergraduate at Virginia Tech during the 2007 massacre there. Woods’ girlfriend and 31 others died in the Blacksburg, Va., killings.

Woods helped found and now serves on the advisory board for Texas Gun Sense, a charity that promotes fact-based educational information about gun policies.

He has spoken out against campus carry bills introduced in the Texas Legislature, saying in 2012 that he doubted concealed handguns on campus would make much difference in such an incident.

Do not really think this meets the groups SOP but no matter. SOP's only matter to the select few and I favor open dialog.

So, do you have any comments on this or you just cut and pasting as usual? You have learned to do that very well my friend.

you make a funny

It get its name "bansalot" for a reason. I was banned after 3 posts for no issues with my post and had no warning or appeal. You should know that. It was that I agreed with another post, not even what I typed. I would not be surprised you put me on the banned list yourself.

Lets look at the difference of the two groups, shall we?

I hope you are not scared to answer, as a host you could always remove the ban. But that would cause issues over in that "safe haven"

Now you want to single out polytheists, Your obvious trolling just shows some animals are more equal than others..

You even come in and do victory laps, childish and to be expected from a bigot driven by hate and lies

49. The reason I asked was because some folks were talking about a policy for each firearm.

I carry a $1million cover policy on my home and land, $1 million on my business, have all my firearms that are not in use in steel fireproof safes installed in a concrete block room inside my home. I have both a alarm system and a fire suppression system.

However I live 30 miles from town on 40 acres and, depending who is on duty at the time, usually must give directions to LE if they are needed.

Despite all of this to many here I am a dirty, scum sucking future murderer with dreams of shooting small children and cats.

I find this disappointing to say the least, and somewhat discouraging.

A"broad brush insult"?

Pretty sad what passes for journalism these days. If he it getting honored at the White House, you would think the author would want to say why and what he did.
