(166 posts)I guess it may be a little better than the 10-10-10 splatterfest vids. Remember those?
I guess for the banners that billionaires dumping money into politics is a good thing, provided its for causes they support.

On the surface this "new" group makes sense. Calling for background checks, domestic violence restrictions, storage safety and efforts against illegal trafficking are laudable and I support all of these.
Yet knowing that this group didn't spontaneously spring up, it has history. It has a history of casting a very broad net that is less concerned with rights than authoritarianism. It has an astro-turf originator group that falsely presented its alleged founders credentials. It has a political originator group with a high felon rate and to the best of my knowledge never condemned the actions of any of its own convicted members, even on gun related convictions. The same group repeated falsified information about its membership until it became too routine to be comfortable; then it simply concealed that data.
The main goals are clearly stated, this is good. The 'Get the Facts' becomes a little vague. On three of the four topics various statistics are presented, some accepted widely, some very questionable, with no citations for verification. Action in these areas is a call for 'common sense' laws. History shows up that the 'common sense' laws often are 'nonsense' laws that are either ineffective, unconstitutional or try to end around due process. Draconian measures against non-criminals have been deemed 'common sense'.
I support the stated goals of this group but I will not support the group.

He (and every LEO top to bottom involved) should be in Federal Prison under RICO for his straw buying.

That video was spot on. I hope they play it everywhere.
I don't care that much for the "stop and frisk, hide behind men carrying the things he'd ban (Except when they protect him.) " Mayor Bloomberg.
But every gun owner needs to watch that.

(19,768 posts)Didn't those who want the government to come into our homes to inspect that their decrees were being followed learn the last time around? Obama and the anti-2A crowd shamelessly pimped Newtown for months, it was a disgusting display, and it failed. Almost cost Dems the CO Senate. Will probably help cost Dems the US Senate this year.
Bloomberg, if you're reading this on some fluke, Keep your nose out of my house, Keep your hands off my Constitution.
