There's Everytown; then there's Everyone Else in Town (Who Knows Better)

I prefer this ad though many will protest the mother depicted should be locked away as a felony offender merely for owning a gun (and thereby giving the father custody, incidentally).

They'd much rather she just wait for the police to arrive three to five minutes later (if she was lucky). After he had beaten her skull in with his fists. Strangled her. Smashed her skull in to the floor. Used a blunt object within the house to kill her. Used a kitchen knife from within the house to kill her.

Some will blame it on guns, as though the inanimate objects posseses people and forces them to do evil things. Some will say that she could have used pepper spray, got a big dog, got an alarm system. But then there is reality.
