the NRA-ILA is trying to make it an issue in a couple of races. Waste of time IMO; we took the Bloomberg proposal on guns and restraining orders, removed the "gotcha" parts, put in due process and passed it with overwhelming support for the pro-gun side.

especially when they take the time to consider the electorate and don't insult their intelligence. Unfortunately that doesn't happen that often.

with my friends on what is the best caliber for duck hunting. They go with 22s or .17HMR; I'm sticking with.416 Remington Magnum. I figure it will kill, clean, defeather and possibly cook the duck all at the same time. The only problem will be finding the duck.

Only one of us lives in Nolan's district and though we laugh he isn't changing his vote over it. Hopefully other gun owners see it that way too.

Edit- oops 😮

The only semi-relevant proposition in CA is Prop 47: Reduced Penalties for Some Crimes Initiative.

It's not specifically firearms related but it would affect prohibited persons (if felonies become not-felonies). Senator Feinstein in her opposition certainly sees it as gun-related...

many years ago during the Oberstar days. Right now, things are not lokking good for Nolan, but the only polling that counts is at the end of the dy tomorrow.

Nolan was my U.S. Rep. When I was a kid.

which I haven't followed closely. From what I know, I'd say no to both.

I just wondered if anywhere else put it on the ballot. Except for the zealots, it seems to be a non-issue, which is good for Dems
