Second Amendment in full glory in Waco.

“There were maybe 30 guns being fired in the parking lot,” a witness told the Waco Tribune. “There’s a lot of people in the hospital, a lot of people shot.” All bikers, amazingly. Bikers reportedly fired at one another and at police, who fired back. No video has yet emerged and with 100 people detained for questioning none of the bikers has yet spoken to the press. The Tribune added, “other local dining and drinking establishments, including Rudy’s Country Store & Bar-B-Q, closed early as concern spread that other gang members were traveling to Waco to resume the violence.”

I certainly don't consider myself part of your "we", and I'm not embarrassed. I'm outraged at the criminals who committed these crimes, but I've done nothing to be embarrassed about. Don't presume to tell me that I should be embarrassed for legally owning firearms.

That is all.

I am not saying it was not bad but the bikers are living violence everyday. This is not a gun issue in my mind but a gang issue. It is a combination of gangs and violence.
This is not representative of most gun owners.

Actually, I think only the biker gang members got shot. Granted a lot of innocents were endangered, but I think I remember reading they weren't injured.

Amazing that you and I can have so much in common but still seem to be polar opposites on the firearms issue. I guess we have to agree to disagree.

issue because it isn't. Those folks would have guns no matter what controls you put on them.
They instigate violence and carry guns for that purpose as apposed to most other gun owners.

Neither riding a motorcycle nor carrying a gun cause a crime but being a member of an outlaw biker gang very much points in that direction. Today's issues with gangs, biker or otherwise, are different from the gang issues of the 60s, 70s and 80s. Events like this one tend to lead to militarizing police as a means to keep the peace. But that's also not a good thing.

On another note, it seems to me to be an incredibly sad waste of time and talent that people find their way into such lifestyles. Why isn't there a program called Bikers Anonymous or Gangbangers Anonymous?

I should hope the hell it isn't, or the US and especially Texas would be even crazier than it already is.
Gun ownership is not the problem here. The problem is carrying guns around and using them for problem solving.
Hey, it's Texas and parking spots are in huge demand.

Bikie arrested over home-made machine guns

Posted 10 Dec 2009, 8:35pm

Police say a bikie gang member is one of two men charged over the manufacture of sub-machine guns in western Sydney.

The 36-year-old alleged Outcasts member and a 43-year-old man were arrested yesterday afternoon.

Police say they searched a home at Charles Street in Blacktown at about 4.30pm where they say the illegal firearms were being made.

Officers allegedly seized a sub-machine gun a number of registered and unregistered firearms and firearm parts. The 43-year-old was arrested at the scene.

Jeweller Angelos Koots admits to making sub-machine guns at his Seven Hills home and supplying them to bikie groups

A JEWELLERY maker produced sub-machine guns in his suburban home, selling them through an organised crime syndicate for $15,000 each.

Backyard arms trader Angelos Koots admitted making up to 100 of the perfectly constructed MAC 10 machine guns - more commonly seen in war zones and believed to have been used in Sydney gang shootings - at his Seven Hills house.

The guns, sold with two magazines and a silencer, were of such quality that during "Mythbuster" style tests alongside a genuine MAC 10 they fired 600 rounds a minute.

As soon as somebody can show me that these criminals legally owned the guns and/or belonged to the NRA I'll start to listen.

Until then, a lot of truly STUPID people are sounding off about this crime and trying to paint all gun owners with a broad brush.

Who actually used fire arms, how many of the bikers, many of the ones I witnessed were very casual, didn't look like they just had knock down drag outs or were in a battle for their lives...not heated, I am sure someone was fighting but who? Why? And exactly how many were involved or just got caught up in the ensuing melee....?

Too many red flags for my peace of mind considering the recent backlash against police brutality becoming quieter and quieter....

No tin foil here, just common sense and a knowledge of bikers.....
