X-post: Police: 11-year-old fatally shoots intruder, 16, in Missouri

Source: AP

ST. LOUIS (AP) — St. Louis County police say an 11-year-old boy fatally shot a 16-year-old intruder during a home invasion.

Sgt. Brian Schellman says officers responded Thursday afternoon to a report of a shooting at a north St. Louis County home.

He says officers arrived to find the 16-year-old boy dead inside.

Police believe the teen made it inside the home on his third attempt to break in and say the 11-year-old shot him in the head.

Children shouldn't be babysitting other children.

11yo's aren't old enough to care for 4yo's

Period.

With no comment, we can only assume you are now posting lawful self defense stories to balance the usual criminals using guns stories?

1. why was the front door unlocked?

2. why were 2 children left unattended?

3. why did a 11 year old have access to a firearm?
(full disclosure at 11 I had access to a firearm. (a .22 bolt action and a .410 breech load)

4. if the 11 year old had access so did the 4 year old.

5. were are the parents/guardians ?

this is just a few of the things I am getting from this.

and yes the 11 year old will need counseling for a good bit.
