Some gun control advocates like to pretend that guns are NOT mainstream, and that gun owners are somehow outside "normal" society .
I chuckle at this assertion.... A local modal railroad club is having a fund raiser, so they chose a glock pistol to raffle off. I was going to purchase a few tickets myself, but I did not have cash on hand due to over reliance on the credit card, so I got a photo of one of the tickets, until I can get some cash to purchase some for myself, if they have any left. I can assure you that they will raise lots of funds with this! I dutifully redacted the name of the club, because some people have severe issues with self control, and proper, decent behavior.
Yes this is completely legal, yes, if you win, you will need to get the gun from an FFL.
