The Coeur d'Alene Press (http://bit.ly/IhdPmS ) reports 30-year-old John Ernest Cross was charged with the felony Tuesday in 1st District Court and appointed a public defender.
Police say they were called to Cross' Clark Fork home on Monday after getting a report that he pointed a rifle at another man and demanded that the man perform the dance move popularized by Michael Jackson in the 1980s.
Investigators accuse Cross of using a semiautomatic rifle during the episode, but Cross claimed during his initial court appearance this week that the firearm was simply a pellet gun.

This is almost as bad as when you got all excited about Scott Walker banning guns in one Wisconsin state owned building after they passed Concealed Carry.
So, tell us what you're doing to repeal SYG in Florida where you claimed to live part of the year? Any success repealing CCW in Maine too?

(38,549 posts)or maybe the Washington Post? Google news will find you the reports in them and a couple of hundred other places. Such an absence of curiosity here as one can never believe.
The original source seems not to have come up with any further details:

The allegation is AR15, the claim in response is Airsoft. Should be easy enough to resolve. Unless he had one of each, and disposed of one before getting the visit, I guess.
I will be watching for the updates that tell us why on earth someone would do this particular thing ...
edit - wait, how about MSNBC?
