Gunman Had Conceal Carry License

The accused gunman who police say fired a shot inside an east Wichita store had a permit to carry a gun. No one was hurt in the store shooting scare but investigators say the situation could have been much worse.

About 20 employees and shoppers were inside the Burlington Coat Factory at Kellogg Drive and Rock Road on Monday when police say Jake Jacobs, 27, walked into with a revolver.

Police say Jacobs took a soda from a cooler and began drinking it. When confronted by the security guard, investigators say Jacobs fired one round at the guard but missed.
