CCWers shoots, kills, robber in store in Florida

http://www.actionnewsjax.com/content/topstories/story/Customer-shoots-robber-at-Dollar-General/b78exUqm00SxzR4NY_S0OA.cspx

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A robber was shot and killed by a customer inside a Dollar General store in the 1900 block of Dunn Avenue.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office was called to the Dollar General Monday night in reference to a robbery.

According to police, two men stormed the store with one customer and two employees inside. The customer shot and killed one of the robbers. The citizen has a concealed weapons permit.

The other suspect fled the scene in a small SUV. Police describe the man they are looking for suspect as a 6 feet tall man, wearing khaki pants and black gloves.

Once again the antis are shown to be wrong. They frequently post that a CCWer would be helpless in a real fight, that he would spray bullets all over the place (Like the NYC cops did.), that he would hit innocent if he ever tried to use his gun. But in the real world that rarely happens. This criminal learned that robbery is a very high risk endeavour, but he learned it too late.

Or even the international news? Will there be any Canadian who will want to post their reaction? Or maybe an Australian who will want to do the same?

Much like many of the posters here who wish to disarm the public, don't talk about stories that don't fit their agenda. Sad but true.

It's always sad to hear of a life lost, but the robber made the choice to use force against others first. Live by the sword, die by sword. Condolences to the robber's family.

In fact I've yet to see a single post about such an occurrence on here.

I won't say it's never happened. But given how eager some people are for it to happen I think it's pretty telling that the only cases of legal gun owners firing wildly in to crowds ever posted on here are about cops.

Pictures of robbers and their guns at the link.

Both robbers were armed with realistic looking pellet guns.

Dead robber was 22, live partner is 19. He is being charged with murder because there was a death during his felony. He is not eligible for bond. Both had prior police records.

CCWer who shot the robber will not be charged.

ADDITIONAL UPDATE: http://www.news4jax.com/news/Jacksonville-police-to-release-details-of-Dollar-General-robber-killed-by-citizen/-/475880/16407370/-/14brw9d/-/index.html

Live robber was turned in by a family member.

CCWer had a .45. He ordered the robbers to drop their guns. Live robber did, dead robber didn't, CCWer shot him three times. (Compare the actions of this CCWer to the NYPD.)
