A second aircraft carrier is reportedly facing a COVID-19 outbreak
JARED KELLER 3 HOURS AGO Task and Purpose

...On Thursday, the Navy announced that a U.S. service member assigned to Commander Fleet Activities Yokosuka, where the Reagan is permanently forward deployed, had tested positive for COVID-19.

On Friday evening, Officials at Yokosuka Naval Base announced that two additional sailors assigned to CFAY had tested positive for COVID-19, prompting a 48-hour lockdown for service members base residents, per Stars and Stripes....

...Indeed, reports of an outbreak aboard the Reagan comes as the Navy has sidelined the USS Theodore Roosevelt in Guam to test each of its nearly 5,0000 sailors for the illness amid reports of dozens of fresh cases aboard the aircraft carrier.

Saw this report first on a YTN (South Korea) youtube dated Mar. 29. That report also mentioned a confirmed case at the Kadena airbase in Okinawa.

This is the earlier report referenced in the OP on the USS Roosevelt:

shared bunk rooms, mess spaces, bath rooms, etc. we used to joke that it was food, which only seemed to stay fresh for a couple of days.

But you're right, everyone is breathing the same air to some extent at least in individual spaces. The idea of social distancing on a ship seems impossible.
