TAUNTON Theyre fed up and theyre not going to take this anymore.
A packed crowd covered the Taunton Green on Monday night to call for an effective government response to the heroin and opiate pill epidemic that is claiming so many lives in southeastern Massachusetts and throughout the country. The Fed Up! Rally on the Green, which was the first Silver City version of an annual protest in Washington D.C., featured speeches from people whose lives have been affected by heroin addiction, while guests at the Taunton rally held signs demanding action and wore shirts memorializing loved ones who have died due to drug overdose.
We are fed up with hearing there are no beds available for treatment, said Barry Sanders, who hosted the event. We are fed up hearing that our insurance will only pay for a few days of a spin dry, instead of real treatment. We are fed up with our loved ones being called junkies and losers and all kinds of vicious names. We are fed up with reading about somebodys death from the disease of addiction without the same dignity and compassion to describe other peoples deaths.
Sanders, who co-organized the rally as a member of the Taunton Opiate Task Force convened by Taunton Mayor Thomas Hoye, said that he and others want President Barack Obama to speak out about the opiate addiction epidemic after it has caused 125,000 deaths since he took office about seven years ago. Rally participants signed dozens of postcards to be sent to the White House, calling for federal action.

The NSA has collected every keystroke and every telephone call you and I have made over the last 13 years. Here's a very simple solution to the heroin problem in the United States - ask the NSA where the heroin is coming from.
Problem solved unless the CIA is up to its old tricks with heroin. (In the 70s the CIA had a secret drug unit in Laos producing heroin that was responsible for much of the devastation of Harlem, NY and other cities around the country.)

Young people mostly under 30 have been the most affected. It is a definite epidemic around here.
On asking the NSA, don't think they'd squeal on their CIA buds -
