Veterans
Related: About this forumquestion about donating to Veterans
...my dad (WWII Vet) is looking to minimize his personal "stuff". He is presently trying to sell a Model T Ford he restored. I believe he might be convinced to donate it to help out veterans. I was thinking that possibly there would be a way to hook up with a Vet or organization that might be interested???
any ideas??

(11,304 posts)Also if you are near a military post call the Protocal Office. Tell them what you have and what you want to do. Many bases have 4th of July celebrations and maybe you can sell some rafle tickets. I am sure if you tell them what you want to do with the money they would be glad. Another place you can try is your local tv station. They have alot of connections. Try those out.

(22,756 posts)yes, my Dad is a long time VFW member (he actually did much of his growing up at the VFW National Home... as I also did)

(11,304 posts)wants to do. I come from a long line of veterans myself. My dad and father-in-law and my husband all retired from the military. Our veterans need us more now than ever. Now my dad and husband never did belong to the VFW. My father-in-law did for awhile. Let us know how your dad's project comes out.

(22,756 posts)most "donate your car" programs turn so, so cars into cash... I was thinking more along the lines of someone actually using the car (maybe therapy or such) but I will check into your links
