Am I being overly sensitive?

This morning I was channel searching and landed on msnbc "Morning Joe."

I have been checking in on various shows from time to time.

Joe is a die hard Republican but up until now he has expressed a true dislike of Romney and has said some decent things about Obama.

Today he said, " polls are saying the race is " Neck and Neck."'No one else on his panel disagreed.

Recently I have been hearing other "Main Stream Media" saying it's "getting closer" --- I am just having a real hard time believing that --- especially because Romney IMO is an idiot and has nothing to get the race "realclose."

In main forums here I have read that the Media is making it appear Neck and Neck in order to keep the audience involved enough so their sponsors will be happy.

I just am having a hard time buying this ~ Obama has been running a fantastic campaign! He has the hearts and love of so many.

How is it neck and neck???

women favor Romney ~ that is real hard.

That's why Suppress The Vote has the ability to solve all their problems.

They are playing this like a card game and they hold three of the Aces.

What we hold for sure is OBAMA and they are doing their best to make sure WHITE men , especially those in the 1 %, have total control of this country.

There is , IMO, a big difference brtween the last election and this one ---
The millions being poured into the PAC Ads.
That is a lot of power that tells us that "BIG MONEY" will control America like never before.

Just my opinion

worse, i believe it is the framing M$M does to set up an election robbery. i also believe our best chance against that is to broadcast that belief everywhere possible.

i also TRY to write LTTEs - sadly, not well, almost never printed, sigh ... maybe others can do that well, please?! - about that. and about your question: how can this possibly be true?!! the idiot vs this AMAZING man?!!

It's all about the Cash that flows to them and the Power they feel they must have -- they will do ANYTHING to beat President Obama.

and will be "neck & neck" for a long time to come. Just go back and look at the GOP primaries (all media driven). Have you ever seen so many debates (the media needs the story). Have you ever seen so many candidates which are up one or two weeks only to be destroyed shortly thereafter.

The whole thing was a sham, Romney was always going to be the GOP placeholder. This election was over before it started.

From your fingers to God's ears. And you're right, there was never any doubt that Rmoney would be the guy. The right hates him with a passion but his "contenders" were too crazy/inept for anyone to ever take seriously.

They make a lot more money if its close; so they'll try to make it close.

Frankly, I'm not voiting this year (talk me out of it if you can; I respect that).

But for anyone to think Rmoney stands for them? My mom recently mad the comment that "Romney used to seem like a smart guy." Jeez mom: pay attention! Yeah, I'm not voting and all that, but the lesser of two evils (I'm anticipating a roasting here) is certainly obvious here.

Here's my slogan (if I really could):

Romney (Are you fucking serious dude?)

********

Anyway, you all are right Rmoney is worse. I wish it were more than that; I really like Obama personally. I wanna support him politically but finding it hard this time around (Again: feel free to convince me; that's cool with me).

towards voting (and I kinda agree), I will vote in November not because I am happy with Mr. Obama or against Mr. Romney (although I will vote straight D).

I will vote just as I did in the not too distant completely meaningless Missouri Primary, because the election itself costs taxpayer money to conduct and I am a taxpayer. I simply want my money's worth.

It may not be much of a motivation, but I am paying for this thing and I want to at least feel I got something out of it. That and there will be local measures with which to address, so I will go vote.

I'm in Wisconsin right now... Walker, well we know that POS.

But if align myself with anything now, expending that energy you will in the near future, its for Occupy. I feel its the only way we can really change things. People rip on the Russian elections, even thought Putin has been going after the oligarchs (re: New Russians) ever since his first term, but I don't place ours any better.

I'll come out and say I'm a 911 Truther, just so you know where I'm coming from...

I had a feeling that capitalism was gonna work out this way back when I was a youngen: 1992 or so.

Change the system or be damned for voting for a letter only...

I've posted this caveat in many threads now, and actually no one has answered wth any substance, if at all: I Obama personally, voted for him in 08, but gove a reaon beyond the 'lesser of 2 evils' shite.

Nietzsche said something like: Nihilism is the greatest danger man can know. But I don't shun it arrival, I want to quicken it. The faster it arrives, the quicker we can get rid of it. (or something like that).

It's ROBmoney and his Gang or a Party that is trying as hard as it can to provide for ALL the people.

Trying with no help from the Supreme Court etc, etc, etc,

The reason they gave ROBmoney the power is because they know he is a robot that will forget what he even said yesterday. AND, he will lie about the sun not coming out when it is a sun shine day.

I don't want the Village Idiot to be my President.

PS/ Sitting out the vote is not the answer -- ever

I don't think he "forgets" anything. I just think he lies as frequently, as easily and as smoothly as the moon rising.

considering that most people should be well aware of the flaws of austerity, which is what Willard Robdme wants to keep trying vs. Obama raising taxes on the 1% and preserving the safety net. He wants to go back to what * did, and Republican and undecided voters are expecting different results.

15. Part of it is media-driven. But part of it is real

First of all, different polls produce different results. And none of them are all that significant this far out.

But this is also a pretty divided country. Most presidential elections are split roughly 50-50, give or take a few points here or there. Remember that the 2008 presidential outcome was not considered close. Yet Obama 'only' got 52.9 percent of the vote. That means 47.1 percent of voters chose somebody other than Obama. And that was when 'Obamania' was in full swing and his political resume was short enough that he didn't have very many unpopular decisions to defend.

But four years later Obama can no longer rest on promises and slogans. He's the president and he has a record of important decisions, policies, and actions - some of which have controversial and/or unpopular, which is inevitable when you're the president.

I predict this election will be very much like 2004 and will produce similar results in both the popular vote and electoral college (though Obama might win by a slightly higher margin in both). In both elections you had an incumbent who was deeply disliked by a large number of people. Both have also produced a wealthy party-establishment challenger who won the nomination not on personal appeal, but because they were perceived as having the best shot to defeat the incumbent.
