(5,141 posts)Even at my ripe old age (47) in some ways it seems like my graduation was only a couple of years ago. It also doesn't hurt that inside this 47 year old woman is the sense of humor of a 12 year old boy. I guess it evens out somewhere in the middle!

(24,544 posts)Congratulations, girl! She'll be 40 with a creaking back and bad knees like the rest of us soon enough.
I still remember my high school graduation. There were 450 in my graduating class. I cried going up to the stage to get my diploma.

(31,849 posts)She's going to Northern Arizona University, on just about a full academic scholarship. She declined two Ivy Leagues and two HBCUs (against my wishes), because she did not want to leave her birth state (and I ain't mad at her ... she'll only be 3 1/2 hours away). She's double majoring in Bio-Chemistry and Spanish.

Also, thank you and your family for making the world a little better, one person at a time.
Best wishes to your daughter for a stellar college career, and I hope that she is able to chase really big dreams.
