We honor him.

He meant something. He was here. He changed my life - my father's life, my aunts lives, my uncles lives, my brother's life . . .

He did things. Important things. And we honor him.

ETA - I figured the poster wasn't aware that
1. It was battle to get MLK Jr recognized

And

2. He was already dead when this piece of shit country got off its collective asses and recognized him.

We say - Happy Birthday To You on his birthday.

You are such a dreamer, JAG. Such a beautiful, beautiful dreamer. Because we both know that won't happen no matter how much we may want it to.

On a completely different note, have you checked the poll results for the poll that pretty clearly stated it was for regulars of this forum or any poster of color??

He changed my life in profound ways. Primarily via my parents and then on down to me. Strength to love.
